In The Name Of Allah and Rasulullah, Allah's messenger. Ohayo gozaimasu. It is Wednesday morning. The time is 6:42 AM. While waiting to 7;30 am, I am thinking of updating my blog. Unexpected comments in the
previous entry makes me chuckle and realise that dunia is full of different types of people. Yet, that makes life wonderful.
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Al-Hujurat:13
The harmonious small "hands split" comments in issue
Tudung inspires me to share this simple topic of DHA.
DHA.. Ring A Bell?
When I see hyperactive children, they reminded me of someone I know . She would say "Miak kinek tok dah terlebih DHA" and I would reply "Akan datang gonna be tough. Mun miak sik di nurture ngan agama, mungkin leads to jenayah kolar putih. Naudzubillah". Then, she would smile and say "By the time comes, we're gonna be great mothers. InsyaAllah. Amin"

Whoa!! Wait.....what is DHA?? Wll, here something from wikipedia. Chemists define DHA as docosahexaenoic acid ( 22:6(ω-3), all-cis-docosa-4,7,10,13,16,19-hexa-enoic acid; trivial name cervonic acid) is an omega-3 essential fatty acid. It is a carboxylic acid with a 22-carbon chain and six cis double bonds; the first double bond is located at the third carbon from the omega end. DHA is metabolized to form the docosanoids—several families of potent hormones. DHA is a major fatty acid in sperm and brain phospholipids, and especially in the retina.
ENGLISH.. Please..
In other words, DHA is essential for the growth and functional development of the brain in infants or for maintenance of normal brain function in adults. The inclusion of plentiful DHA in the diet improves learning ability, whereas deficiencies of DHA are associated with deficits in learning. DHA is taken up by the brain in preference to other fatty acids. The turnover of DHA in the brain is very fast, more so than is generally realized.
DHA in ALLAH's Creation
Fish oils are rich in DHA. Most of the DHA in fish and more complex organisms originates in photosynthetic and heterotrophic microalgae, and becomes increasingly concentrated in organisms as it moves up the food chain. DHA is also commercially manufactured from microalgae; Crypthecodinium cohnii and another of the genus Schizochytrium.

Most animals make very little DHA through metabolism; however small amounts are manufactured internally through the consumption of α-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid found in chia, flax, and many other seeds and nuts.
Is It Important?
Decreases in DHA in the brain are associated with cognitive decline during aging and with onset of sporadic Alzheimer disease. The leading cause of death in western nations is cardiovascular disease. Epidemiological studies have shown a strong correlation between fish consumption and reduction in sudden death from myocardial infarction. The reduction is approximately 50% with 200 mg day(-1)of DHA from fish.
Dietary DHA InsyaAllah may reduce the risk of heart disease by reducing the level of blood triglycerides in humans. Low levels of DHA result in reduction of brain serotonin levels and have been associated with ADHD, Alzheimer's disease, and depression, among other diseases, and there is mounting evidence that DHA supplementation may be effective in combating such diseases

Subhanallah. It all started with fish, not scott's emulsion :) . Eat more fish and nuts. They are good supplements for brain. Allah creations are signs of Allah's Wisdom. Don't you think?
